In the third term of the 2024 academic year, J.O.S School proudly welcomed an energetic and determined eight-year-old named Kofi. After transferring from a mainstream school where he struggled to receive the individualized attention he needed, Kofi stepped into a new world of possibilities. However, this transition was not easy, as he was faced with new surroundings and the anxiety of adapting to a different environment.
At first, Kofi found the adjustment challenging. He often felt overwhelmed, which led him to try to leave the school grounds, searching desperately for a familiar path back home. In those early days, Kofi experienced difficulty focusing, and struggled to find his place in the classroom. For a child eager to learn, feeling lost can be disheartening.
Despite these bumps in the road, the dedicated teaching staff at J.O.S School proved to be a beacon of support for Kofi. They recognized that moving to a new school can be tough for any child, especially one requiring additional support. With kindness and patience, the teachers created a nurturing environment where Kofi could begin to flourish.
