Transforming Challenges into Triumphs: Kofi's Inspiring Journey at J.O.S School

Tiina Jori Ko Ba is dedicated to providing inclusive education for children and youth in Northern Ghana, particularly those with disabilities. The J.O.S Children&#8217;s School aims to break systemic barriers, ensuring all children, including those like Nora with Down syndrome, have equal access to education. Their innovative model will expand access for many more children.</p>

In 2023 the directors of the J.O.S.C School came to the Tiina Jori Ko Ba Board with a request. Many of the staff at the school were young women. They were recent senior high school graduates. Mr. Robert Sampana, the new Director of Management and advocacy at J.O.S Children's School, brings over 20 years of leadership experience and a background in disability advocacy and education. Originally from Bolgatanga, Ghana, Mr. Sampana has a degree from the Rochester Institute of Technology. His impactful work has influenced organizations at both national and district levels.

Today, Tiina Jori Ko Ba in partnership with St. John Bosco's College of Education and the Ghana Education Service in the Kassena-Nankana District in the Upper East Region of Ghana had the opportunity to advocate for the rights of children and adults with disabilities, and to advocate for their full inclusion in society.
